The ancient medical practice of Ayurveda places an emphasis on achieving a state of complete physical, mental, and spiritual wellness. Among its distinctive features, bhasma preparations are a subset of medicinal substances derived from metals and minerals that undergo certain processes of purification and cremation, or Shodhana and Marana, respectively. By converting metals to their oxide forms, the practice of bhasmikarana improves medicinal effectiveness while decreasing toxicity. This research delves into the Ayurvedic idea of bhasma and shows how it has medicinal applications. Because of its metabolic, immunomodulatory, and rejuvenating properties, Swarna Bhasma and Kansya Bhasma get particular attention. Swarna Bhasma is well-known for its ability to boost energy and immunity, whereas Kansya Bhasma is known for its digestive and antibacterial properties. Safety and toxicity are also taken into account in the research, with an emphasis on how important it is to prepare and dose correctly. Therefore, bhasmas have great promise in contemporary complementary and alternative medicine.
