Every society's most valuable resource is its children. Every person's educational, cultural, physical, emotional, intellectual, and ethical development and flourishing begin in childhood. "Children are the buds of social development, the dawn of humanity, and the great promises of tomorrow." Protecting children, who are acknowledged as having equal rights bearers, is the top priority according to the Indian Constitution. Legislation, policy, and the acknowledgement of human and child rights have all undergone profound shifts over history. The old common law concepts, which unfairly benefited the rich, have been superseded by a rights-based approach. Even while we have the legal framework in place to make sure that every child has a secure and loving environment to grow up in, thanks to our Constitution and other federal and state laws, a lot of kids still don't get what they deserve.
