Abstract

This research paper explores the pervasive influence of Christian themes and biblical motifs in 17th-century English literature. It examines how writers of this period engaged with biblical narratives, particularly the Book of Genesis, to reflect societal values, moral dilemmas, and theological debates of their time. The paper highlights key literary figures such as John Milton, John Bunyan, and George Herbert, demonstrating how their works encapsulate the intersection of faith, literature, and the evolving understanding of humanity's relationship with the divine.
